The bustling town of Torrevieja with its shopping centre, fine sandy beaches, bars, clubs and restaurants, is only 10 minutes by car.

The area is a top destination for golf lovers, with La Finca and La Marquesa golf courses only a short drive away.

There are numerous beaches close by as well, many of which have the Blue Flag rating: La Mata and Guardamar are particular favourites.

Both Murcia-San Javier and Alicante airports are within 35 minutes by car.

Rojales is located close to the beautiful Natural Park of the Salt Lakes of Torrevieja and La Mata.

This is a lively community with amenties such as an Aqua Park, bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, a tobacconist, hairdressers, banks, a medical centre, communal swimming pool etc. The whole complex is very stylish and picturesque with a beautiful community swimming pool.

There are many outstanding golf courses in the area including Real Club de Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Villamartin, as well as La Marquesa which is part of the Rojales area.

From here, you are only a short car ride away from the wonderful beaches of Guardamar del Segura, where you can relax in the sun or enjoy a multitude of water sports such as kayaking, windsurfing, surfing, etc.

The lively towns of Torrevieja, Guardamar, Elche (with Europe´s largest palm forest) and Santa Pola (famous for its seafood) are also just a short distance away.

Rojales is south of the cosmopolitan capital Alicante, a beautiful city full of history and wonderful architecture.

There are two airports: Alicante and Murcia-San Javier from which Rojales can be reached by car within a 30-35 minute drive.

The nearest beaches are less than a 10 minute drive from the house. Sports lovers can enjoy the many water sports available while golfers have a large selection of courses within a ten mile radius including the nearby championship Villamartin course.

There is a large, modern sports palace in the town. The south Costa Blanca town of Torrevieja itself is a bustling coastal town with a long promenade and marinas. Many Spaniards own holiday homes in the area. There is a fun fair and nightly flea market at the sea front and many restaurants and bars with sea views. Shopping is superb in the town centre and there is a market every day either in Torrevieja itself or nearby. There are several picturesque towns nearby including Elche, Murcia, Orihuela and a visit to the cities of Alicante or Valencia is always worthwhile.
