Gran Canaria
Just 67 miles from the Western Sahara, and receiving hotter weather than the other Canary Islands, Gran Canaria enjoys sunshine every week of the year. With a tropical climate to the south, and a fresher climate to the north, Gran Canaria is the most scenic of the Canary Islands. Although it is smaller than Tenerife and Fuerteventura, there is still much to see and do here. Known as 'the small continent', as this island is called because of its extremely varied landscapes with European, African and even American vegetation, offering lush forests, exotic fauna and flora, sahara dunes, mountains, volcanic craters, sometimes even snow on the highest peaks.

Puerto Rico is built into the mountains and has two beautiful sandy beaches below, with a marina housing luxury yachts and benefitting from many water sport activities, and a nearby Aqua park. The stunning resort of Puerto Mogan with its beautiful white beach at Anfi is just 10 minutes away. An ideal holiday destination for those with children.
Playa del Ingles - the nightlife capital. This is the largest resort on the Island, with numerous restaurants, clubs, bars, hotels and shops. There is also a specific 'gay' area, C.C. Yumbo. A beautiful long white sandy beach is backed by a busy promenade full of restaurants and cafes. This is primarily a holiday destination for couples, or groups.
Maspalomas - Much more relaxed than Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas 'the minature Sahara' has fewer hotels, and more villas and apartments built in 'low rise' , 'high quality' style. The area benefits from long sandy beaches, golf course, 2 water parks, a casino and camel excursions.
