EL CAMPELLO
The main industries of El Campello are fishing and tourism and to this effect you will always find plenty to do. There are bars, restaurants, shops, harbour, and a lovely promenade as well as sites of historical interest or the local fish market.
El Campello has 23km of diverse and striking coastline with a beautiful and contrasting landscape - cliffs, sandy coves, rocky coves and crystal clear waters.
For sports enthusiasts, there is a wide selection of activities on offer at the Sports Marina and a Yacht Club which offer surfing school, sailboat hire and a scuba diving centre.
El Campello dates back to the bronze age and has a great history where the remains of remains of ancient temples, circular cabins dating back to 3000BC and a 16th century watchtower can still be seen around the fishing harbour.
Slightly inland, are the Canelobre Caves which boast the biggest stalagmites and stalactites to be found on the Costa Blanca.
The magnificent Moors & Christians parade is held in October, which includes mock battles, fanastic costumes, fireworks, music and plenty of food & drink.
